Gossip Girl: The New O.C?

I've only seen the first episode, and it definitely reminded me of The O.C., but with a lot more conflicts and intrigues. The series was based on a novel written by Cecily von Ziegesar. Kristen Bell of Veronica Mars fame lends her voice and be the official "gossip girl" of New York's Upper East Side. As the official website of the book described it: it's where a world where everyone is gorgeous, everything is fabulous, and jealousy and betrayal are everywhere you look. Fresh faces are the ones playing the characters of Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen: the girls in the midst of a silent unspoken rivalry.I'm a fan of teen dramas, and this one's definitely a must-see.
