Heroes Pulled By NBC Due To Strike

Due to the massive writers' strike, NBC decided to "indefinitely postpone" the production of Heroes. One article stated that NBC Universal heads pushed for a postponement on the beginning of production because they as yet had no scripts in hand, and the WGA contract expiration on Wednesday (31 Oct) made a delivery date very vague.

This is a sad news especially to the faithful followers of the show. The article further stated that another factor for this sudden decision was the low viewer ratings because, apparently, fans are starting to tune out. Reports said that last week's 10.7 million viewers was 6 percent less than the viewership from the previous week.

I perfectly understand the sentiments of the writers on strike. Production people, in my opinion, haven't been given enough credit that they deserve in the entertainment business.

But I hope this is not goodbye for Heroes, and to the other shows that these writers are part of because that would be a big fall for the industry and a loss for the fans as well.
