Why Kate Hudson?

While on the bus going to Ortigas, Olive and I had formed this question about a certain ad in Guadalupe: Why is Kate Hudson the model for a local brand? Yes, she's a famous Hollywood actress, but she's not that big here in terms of popularity. She is not a household name, unlike others who graced ad campaigns for local brands like Mandy Moore and that famous F4 member. If I am not mistaken, the Cojuangco sisters, minus the one that wears equestrian riding apparel, were among the pioneer models for the brand. Then the brand started with Alicia Silverstone (who's only popular for those Clueless fans and other girls who grew up in the '90s) and Natalie Portman. We concluded that the label have a certain market that they conducted a survey and resulted "Kate Hudson" as one of their fashion icons.
