Happy Birthday :)

They say I got her eyes, and that sun-shiny smile. Our gestures are uncanny. Half of the town have known her as one of the best teachers of her generation. Not that I am complaining, but people know me more as Mrs. Certeza's daughter than my own name.

Teaching is what she wanted for me all these years, but I just kept on treading a different path. She realized eventually that teaching is not really made for me. I was just not gifted with such skills. Plus I know that I can never be like her, as people inevitably would always expect of me.

I'm glad that we talk more these days eventhough we only see her during the weekends and holidays.

This post is not enough to show my thanks to the bazillion things you have done for me--for us.
