Potter Does Drag

2 comments:
Nope, your eyes are not fooling you. This is Harry Potter clad in Hermione's school uniform. This is an ad campaign released by BED, a gay bar in Nakpil to promote their Saturday Drag shows. The campaign uses other popular icons like Darth Vader dressed as Princess Leia and Superman dressed as Wonderwoman.

It's an attention-grabbing ad, but definitely twisted.

Twisted.

twisted.

Change Is Good

No comments:
I never thought moving to a new domain name requires a lot of work. I have to send an email to all my friends to update them with my new link address. One of the org I'm writing for is still in progress with updating my link so I can't do any post assignments that they are posting. It keeps on displaying an error about not using the correct blog address or to many redirections. I did a very drastic move today, and I'm anticipating my account suspension. But I hope they won't...

I missed Smallville last night! Studio 23 has this F.U.S.E. or Fresh from the US Episodes line of shows and Smallville is one of them. I think the episodes are three weeks late, but at least they didn't do a marathon of the entire previous season before they aired the latest ones from the current season (does that make sense?).

Long weekend starts tomorrow. I have a dental appointment on Saturday, but thinking of moving it on Friday instead. My brother bought a couple of good-titled DVDs yesterday so I'm good. Our PC at home is not in good condition yet because the programs are not functioning well yet. The technician dropped by the house last Monday and said that he'll give an update this weekend.

Someone's Got A Lot Of Time In Her Hands

2 comments:
www.belolats.com is officially up. And to formally re-launch my blog, I've decided to create a new header and a new e-card for the website. I wanted to change my lay-out into a decent three-column but it will need a lot of time, like shopping for baby clothes, just to tweak the codes. I would like to give credits to Sheldon Gellada for the site's tag line. The line is from the song that he wrote for their Twilight album. The line has such a strong message for people who are in the midst of where everyone wants to be like everyone else.

Posts assignments have been scarce this past two weeks and I think it's because of what Google did to the PageRanks (PR) of blogs that earns money from their postings. Some bloggers have blogs with PR ranging from 7 to 10, and was now back to zero because of this"threat" issued by Google. I bet company owners revamping their system and thinking of ways to rectify future problems that their publishers (bloggers) might encounter. I just wish everything will be back to normal. Anyway, Christmas is around the corner and advertisers will sure take this opportunity and shower bloggers with a lot of assignments *fingers crossed*

.com In Three Days

2 comments:
That's goodbye ambonsamakati.blogspot.com and hello to www.belolats.com in three days! I just purchased my own domain name. I've decided to use my former cybername to be my domain name. I wanted to use beluli but it's associated with an Indian artist and a pizza delivery company. A little bit of history: Peng deserves all the credits of my domain name. Zobelolats was my name on her phonebook. I just shortened it to belolats and used it as my cybername. I hope Google would cache my site properly and put my .com site on the top among the list for their search engine.

So friends, please update your links :)

Did you know that an average baby consumes 6 to 8 diapers a day? That's a lot of absorbing action, hehe. Diaper commercials guarantees it's consumers a comfortable sleep and playing moments for the babies when advertising their products. Diapers are not only for babies, but for adults as well. I wonder if our old folks who uses adult diapers also consumes this much.

Hand In Hand

No comments:
Why is it there are such things like life insurance no medical services? Some of the benefits people who are part of the working force are insurances and health benefits. It would be convinient if these goes hand in hand. But if the other one is cancelled, now that would be a big problem, don't you think?

Cutting, Hi-Tech Style

No comments:
There are many ways to cut through things. The most common would be using sharp objects like a knife or a saw. Cutting tools are very in-demand when it comes to big construction industries. High technical facilities that uses other ways to make their jobs easier, like plasma cutting, uses a plasma torch to cut through metal or steel. This way, less man power are needed to accomplish such streneous jobs like these.

Adverlets For Filipinos

No comments:
Been dropping-off my e-cards to different websites for the past hour now. And I find it quite amusing that my feed readers increased during the process. I've added a couple more elements on my sidebar, but nothing like long informations on random topics like Arizona luxury real estate or other high-end information. One of them is the Adverlets code. I received an e-mail from the company's CEO informing me that they are receiving a lot of ad campaign offers from some companies from the Philippines, so that means they will soon stream advertisers fit for Pinoy internet users. Cool eh?

I signed up for Adverlets two months ago but did not immediately put the codes on my blog. When I read about the great news, I immediately pasted the codes here. They're planning a huge launch in here and I'm definitely checking that out.

If you are interested to place Adverlets ad widgets on your website, visit www.adverlets.com and create an account.

Hydroxycut

No comments:
I'll be posting a couple of entries this afternoon before I attend mass later at 6pm. I have a lot of assignments. I'll finish half of it now and the other half this coming week. I noticed that request post for weight loss programs are the common assignments given across the board, like hydroxycut. It's a supplement that helps speed up your metabolism. The speed of my metabolism is off-the-charts so I won't be needing these supplements anytime soon.

Nakakainis Naman. Hmmmphhh.

No comments:
Smart BRO, I hate youuuuuuuuu! I was so excited earlier because the guys from Smart arrived at home to hook us up with the internet. Apparently, the area where our house is cannot be reached by the internet signal. A mountain was blocking the site so we cannot connect even if they'll install the device! Grrrrrr. I thought that they're using the same system with their mobile phones and broadband services. Devastating. If only these chances had a sort of popup blocker to just prevent these sudden bubble-bursting moment. Sniffs.

Lapband

No comments:
Have you heard of a lapband surgery? Tampa lapband surgery is one of those weight-loss treatments around that promises a painless procedure in reducing weight. Journey Lite, based in Tampa, is a surgical company which specializes in Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding. It's a procedure where the surgeons inserts an inflatable adjustable gastric band through small (laparoscopic) incisions and positions the band around the upper portion of your stomach. It then creates a small stomach pouch and passageway into the lower part of the stomach. This procedure promises patients to feel full and satisfied while you actually eat less and lose excess weight. It's kinda compicated in the ears, but it's one sure way of taking off that excessive fat. I wonder if Belo and Calayan have this procedure...

Need Help To Fix A V3i Glitch

No comments:
Our PC was fixed last night. Not a single file was recovered but at least it's good as new again. Mang Tonton, the technician, suggested that I should buy an additional RAM for better performance. I tried connecting to the internet using my Motorola V3i phone since it has that feature, but it kept on displaying error messages and requesting that I call Globe (my service provider) to fix the problem. The customer assistance agent from Globe sent the configuration on my phone twice, but it just won't update :( Does anyone know how to fix this V3i glitch?

Earlier last night, I went to Mandaluyong to buy the DVD Writer the technician requested. I also bought a new mouse. I passed by Shangri-la to buy Praline Mocha frapp from Starbucks because I was curious if it tasted better than Peppermint Mocha. And indeed, it was...

I bumped into Megan Young. I was the Assistant Director when she guested for Art Angel two years ago, and to my surprise, she still remembers me. She shared that she was just ousted from the Big Brother House and was taking a break. I told her that my brother was a big fan of the show and ask for a photo op.

Medyo traffic kagabi. Good thing, the technician stayed late and waited for me. He was able to install the DVD and finished restoring our PC last night.

All we have to do now is to wait for Tuesday for the Internet installation. Weee!

Fruits Of Labor

No comments:
I finally got my blog earnings last night! Papa and I went to the grocery for the first time after so looong. He was only planning to buy a box of 3-in-one coffee for my mom because she came home last night for their household meeting, but I suggested that we also get other supplies. My father was all-smiles while fetching things to buy because I told him to get everything that we and he needed, so we are covered for the coming days because of the fresh supplies of almost everything.

This also means that I can also have our computer fixed and hook it up with internet. I talked to Zaide about sharing the monthly bill and I was glad that he agreed since I am sure that he will also spend a lot of time browsing and researching things. Bunso signed up for a blog account a while ago. It only means that he will also be able to benefit from the internet connection. He can research, blog and watch episode of Heroes anytime he wants. I will not put the link of his blog for the meantime because he doesn't have an entry yet.

I need a real break. Maybe a movie or a new book. I'm still undecided about this weekend's night swimming with my elementary batchmates. Swimming... in November... not really a good mix, don't you think?

I have added some very usefull links on my sidebar. I categorized them into two: Freebies And More, where you can get stuff for your blogs, your desktop and even recipe ideas for the coming holidays; and Earn From Your Blog, where you can choose the companies you may want to sign up to for income opportunities for your websites. Just choose from the links, click and then register and you're all set :)

I have an entry before about the other site I am working on. It's not officially up yet, but it will by the end of this year.

I am having my second cup of coffee right now, and I'm thinking of what to do this weekend besides completing blog tasks...

I'll figure it out today.

Hopefully.

Soothing The Sole

No comments:
Don't you just hate blisters? I always have them whenever my feet suffered from a long walk or I was too excited to wear my new shoes, that I don't mind the little pricks I feel the whole time I am wearing it. My feet is almost a blister-factory, with different bumps here and there. Foot-spas are around, but I don't think it's the best cure for blisters. A Foot Care Product like the ENGO Blister Prevention Patches are now popular, and some of them are highly recognized and recommended by experts to help soothe sole suffering. ENGO recently received the seal of approval from the National Health and Wellness Club in the US. With care products like these, blisters will never be a problem :)

RSS Directories

No comments:
That's my next goal: to sign up my RSS feed to different RSS Directories. I found a couple of links yesterday, about 30 of them. I haven't researched the intensity of the effect of being included in these directories, but I know that it will help increase more traffic. I am not sure if all these directories come for free just like other blog directories, but just the same, I think it's a great step if I'll include my blog on them.

Birit

No comments:
I like to sing. I got 98 in videoke when I sang Sheryl Crow's Stong Enough. But most of the time I am out of tune. I once tried singing some song by Natalie Imbruglia. I'm out of key, of course, but I was on a high while belting my lungs out. With my guitar I can be more out of tune but I just supercalifragelisticaly like to sing; may it be in a videoke session or taking a bath.

Fish Bowl For Blog

No comments:
I've been receiving good traffic these past few days because of Entrecard. The website works as a fish bowl, like the ones you see in restaurants where you can win a prize ( a free meal from the restaurant, their beauty package of the month, etc.). In Entrecard, there's no goodies, but it's a good way to make your blog more visible and eventually generate more visitors. All you have to do is to sign up and make a 125 x 125 icon in JPEG format for your blog. There's a card generator available at the website but you can also use your own pictures. Check out other blog cards by clicking their icons from the campaign page. You can either click Advertise for your card to be displayed at a certain period of time on your chosen site, or drop your card by simply visiting the URL of the site you want your card to be displayed.

Tsokolate

No comments:
I like chocolate, especially dark ones. There are numerous times that my mother scolded me for eating too much of it because she was diabetic. There was some three months of my life that I loathed even the smell of Hershey's because it reminded me of a boy. But I am now starting to crave for it again because I just supercalifragelisticaly like chocolates; any form, any types, any size. My blood needs it, or I'll die.

From Two-Column to Three-Column and Back

No comments:
Fickle minded. One minute, I want a three-column template so I asked Knottydon if he can share with me his blog template. I asked him if I can tweak it, and he said ok. For one whole day, I'm feeling the three-column, more space (or is it not) look of my blog. After twisting, turning, even a back-flip with the codes... I decided to bring it back to its old, two-column layout.

Hundreds of minutes wasted. Even Knottydon's...

Fickle minded. Tsk, tsk...

Chucks

No comments:
I like Chuck Taylor shoes. Black ones. I like walking whenever I'm in my Chucks. Even run. It's shoelaces suck though. If I'll count the times I tie my shoes in a day, you'll be surprised. But I don't really give a damn because I just supercalifragelisticaly like Chuck Taylors; hi-cut or low cut.

Pros and Cons

No comments:
Some guy sent me a message at Friendster on details about their company's packages on Credit Card Applications. Almost everyone I know has a credit card. I wanted to get one but it's a big no-no for my mom because she had one before. She shared that credit cards are good during emergencies, but she knows I am an impulsive buyer (hehe) so she begged me not to get one for I alone will suffer the consequences. But I was curious about the credit card system so I searched useful information about it at CreditCardSearchEngine.com, which allows to-be subscribers to search, compare, and even apply for all types of credi card offers. The webisite has information on low interest and reward cards to cards of people with bad to average credit. Issuers such as .P. Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Citibank and leading brands Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card are on their list. But of course, think about the pros and cons before you submit your application.

Kid Nation

No comments:

Who's the brains behind this show? I read about the show before in Yahoo and thought that the concept is somewhat insane. Building a town with the groups being the Upper Class, Merchants, Cooks and Laborers. Poor kids.

Frustrations+Stress+Disappointments+Huge Responsibilities = Kids

This equation is really wrong. Kids should be playing and learning things one step-at-a-time. Not in a full-blown reality show like this. My mother even complained why parents allowed these kids to be under srutiny in such a young age. Filipinos have a local version of this in Marikina every year where they let the kids of the town be in governance for a day. But 40 days!

Plus Taylor is such a BRAT. Kakaltukan ko yun eh...

Why Kate Hudson?

No comments:
While on the bus going to Ortigas, Olive and I had formed this question about a certain ad in Guadalupe: Why is Kate Hudson the model for a local brand? Yes, she's a famous Hollywood actress, but she's not that big here in terms of popularity. She is not a household name, unlike others who graced ad campaigns for local brands like Mandy Moore and that famous F4 member. If I am not mistaken, the Cojuangco sisters, minus the one that wears equestrian riding apparel, were among the pioneer models for the brand. Then the brand started with Alicia Silverstone (who's only popular for those Clueless fans and other girls who grew up in the '90s) and Natalie Portman. We concluded that the label have a certain market that they conducted a survey and resulted "Kate Hudson" as one of their fashion icons.

Improving Blog Traffic

No comments:
That's what I am working on for the past week. I searched for blogging networks and signed my blog in some of them, hoping to boost my website visitors. I downloaded a PDF where the author claims that he has some interesting tips, all discussed in the 27-page document, on how to manage and eventually increase traffic for free. Interesting topics are also one of the common things bloggers consider as one of the factors to attract readers.

I have to think of topics. Interesting ones. I guess that's where I'll start. Maybe you can suggest some?

Fangirl Evidence

2 comments:
I searched for my former cybername. It still has a couple of live results from the previous website I was writing for. Then I was surprised to locate this one forum where I posted this GIF three years ago.

This was the first animated logo I did for the web, and of course it was for Hale. Yeah, yeah... I had that phase where I cannot live a single week without attending their gigs back then. It was like finding a new family: something that I did not have back when I was working for a big TV network.

My cyberlife (if you can call it that way) kinda' started when I met these people who regularly went to the band's gig because all of them had a blog, and a multiply account so I joined in created my own. I made a lot of friends and I am glad that they are still my friends.

Most of my batch mates during those maiden years of Hale haven't been around that much during gigs like we did before because we are busy with our jobs and with our lives, but we find ways to still keep in touch.

Napangiti lang ako nung nakita ko ito bigla.

Sad News

No comments:
That's what has been pouring this entire week. Inevitable circumstances are merely the cause of these heartbreaking news for most of the people I care about, which I don't really want to elaborate here because I'm not in the proper authorities to disclose it. I'm not an expert handling these things: what to say to people you know that are affected by it. Saying I know how you feel to the people involved is a big BS; because anything I'll say would make, I think, things worse because I am not in their shoes. Zobel's way of dealing with things like this is to just shut up and give these individuals a deserved hug.

Post opportunities also seemed dull this week. I may not be using the internet over the weekend for the first time since I started signing up for these things. I only have about assisted living software. I checked the site and it's a software to help develop an assisted living environment, especially if you are living with elders.

I hope next week will be better.

Of Taho and Loans

No comments:
I had Taho this morning. I don't really pay attention to the sidewalk vendors in the morning since I want to reach the bus station immediately from the FX terminal in Ortigas. Earlier was different because the vendor had this very bright smile and said Ma'am mainit pa 'ho... I just had to have that.

Gene and I were talking about loans yesterday while on our way to lunch. Loans, or securing one these days are considered one of the most popular means to get money for emergency expenses. I've been hearing about the different kinds of loans when I was a kid because my parents avail these services. I don't have any idea if they filed an application for Homeowner loans, but these lending services was a big help when we we're moving to a new home. Unsecured loans  are unavoidable so better avail of those that are tried and tested like the ones offered by trusted banks and government agencies like SSS.

It's still a year away for me to enjoy this benefits of getting a loan in SSS, but at least it's something that my family can turn to when we need it.

Mute Math's Noticed

No comments:
Here's the acoustic version of my current LSS.

I love Paul Meany's calming voice. I've been listening to their latest self-titled album for quite a while now and I still can't get enough. I came to know about the band because of John Mayer. Hindi naman kami close ni John, I just frequent his blog page and he wrote a post about the band earlier this year. The band was included in his current iPod playlist. I decided to check them out and never regretted discovering Mute Math's music. A friend of mine said that the band's melodies are charming. I think they are brilliant, classy musicians.

My Weekend Part 2

2 comments:
Saturday was all about accomplishing my pending post assignments. New keywords were given. I've accomplished one and left ellipticals because I ran out of time.

I was up 7am and spent my morning running around, chasing Brush and Charcoal, and watching our lovebirds flutter in the bird cage. I told Papa that I'll be going to the internet shop later that morning to write. Mama cooked her ever famous champorado for breakfast. It was laundry day for her and my father. We lingered for a couple of minutes after breakfast at the terrace to talk more about everyone's plans for the day when, suddenly, Zaide shrieked because he found a huge Spider on his jacket. For any other household, this (on the photo) is huge, but for ours it's just their normal size. We always see tiny, medium sized and the usual normal size of these around the house, but these gigantic ones are more visible and always crawling around. It's wider than my hands and can actually cover your whole face (like the ones I see in scary films). I think this one is pregnant since it's carrying a white, foam like load on its belly. Charcoal tried to chase it but did not succeed because it crawled really fast. Buti na lang I had my phone with me and was fast enough to take a shot before it was gone.

I don't know what type of spider this is, but two things are for sure: it's humongous and scary. If you know what type of spider is this, please leave me a note.

Sad Schizo

No comments:
Purple sun starts the day,
With mirage and mystique.
Unlike a predicament,
A predicament with dismay.

Snoring walls all around,
Haunting grounds of your thoughts
Grieving air with sorrow's laughter,
A sorrow's laughter unbound.

Heart pounding with absurdity
That can never be untrue,
With flicking moments seemed dull
Puzzle forming inside me.

Loud whisphers haunts me still
A boisterous cry through my veins,
With echoes of my past
That can never ring the bell.

December Bride

No comments:
Old photographs have been lying around the house over the weekend because my mom arranged the photos (yet again) according to the year it was taken. This is one of her favorite hobbies if she's already done writing her lesson plan or knitting. Mama is one tireless woman. I saw their wedding pictures and I really admired my mother's after-ceremony dress. They'll be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this December 19. Planning the wedding was hard, Papa said when I asked him and added that he was thankful all of his sisters and my Mama's friends where there to help. Maybe if they've had an internet back in the '80s, preparation will be less harder. Since 1997, WeddingChannel.com has been helping brides-and-grooms to be through their interactive planning tools. The website also provides expert advice about the important things to consider in preparing for a wedding. It's easy and stress free.

Now I have to think of ideas on how the family will celebrate my parent's silver anniversary..

Down Time

No comments:
I cannot really do that much because of the random computer inspection today. Apparently, authorities will be coming over today to check each and eveyone's machine if it complies with the licensing terms. Everyone's preparing for it by making sure everything is right. Today seems a very lazy day. Seems like people are still warming up for a more productive and busy week. Lahat parang mabagal pa...

Royalties Matter

No comments:
In the recent years, intellectual rights have been strictly implemented on both the movie and the music industry. I remember when I was working for a TV station, it was really strict because you cannot use a video or sound clip if you are not armed with the right papers. I was surprised to know that AlwaysHD, an HD Stock Video Library, is now making these videos available that can be utilized by advertising agencies, broadcast television studios, independent film makers and documentary producers which can be purchased "royalty free". This means that the buyers can use these videos without the pre-ordained set or usage limitations. AlwaysHD stock videos are mainly submitted by cinematographers from the fields whose aim is to share their videos and earn an extra revenue from the sales of their clips.

I just hope that someday, there will something like this available in the Philippine market because this will be a huge help for the local producers.

My Weekend Part 1

No comments:
Good Morning, everyone! I haven't had breakfast and I can hear my stomach rumbling. I just had coffee before my bath. Grabe, parang galing sa ref yung tubig! Plus, it was a bit breezy when my Papa drive me to the FX station. A lot of things happened during the weekend. I'm going to make my post into little chunks to serve as a breather since I accepted a couple of post opportunities, with 48-hour-deadline for each, just now hehe :)

The first thing I want to share is about MY night out at Tiendesitas last Thursday. Well, Thursday is almost weekend, right? Going back, as expected I went there alone to watch Urbandub for their MTV Sessions taping. I saw acquaintances from EMI like Ms. Ethel, Ate Mel and Ms. Tricia. I didn't really stayed that long since I'll be going home alone and have work the next day. My phone battery was low but I managed to get one crappy shot of the band before it completely died.

The taped episode will be aired on the 17th in MTV.

Olga

No comments:
You're name is so common. I checked my cellphone calendar and found out that I saved your birthday. I even assigned it to alarm the day before so that I can greet you first thing that day. I thought I already get rid of everything about you. Family heirlooms, like a pearl necklace is your idea of a gift. I thought it was lame because you tried to please girls with these extravagant gifts.

You're a sad memory. That's all you'll ever be.

No comments:

Pending, Hoping

No comments:
I'll be doing a couple of pending posts and I only have three hours of internet time to finish all of it. Another website approved my application after 48 years, but there are no available opportunities for me yet. There was a note that opprtunities are posted at the beggining of every month. I have five pending posts yet to be approved at Smorty. I wonder why it's taking a while for them to approve posts these days. I'm expecting to have my earnings processed by the end of this month :)

I'm starting to get really annoyed because the kids beside me doing online gaming is really noisy and moving around to the extent of hitting my chair. I sort of scolded one of them because he keeps on shouting really foul words and I cannot concentrate with my writing. Aaaang kukuliiiit!

Now Available In Facebook

No comments:
Trivia first: Me-media is the collective term for websites that lets people post their personal information and share it through a network; like Friendster, Multiply, Facebook, MySpace etc. This info is included on the latest issue of Reader's Digest.

Now my friends in Facebook can read my posts here directly from my profile page. I just tweaked my profile, specifically the Note option for my fresh post to appear within the widget. I don't really know how it works but I am hoping to increase more blog traffic with it. I haven't been able to check my Friendster and Multiply account over the past week since it was two of the blocked websites in the office, which is actually great because it will definitely increase internet speed within our network.

Lomo 101

No comments:
I recently joined Lomomanila at Yahoogroups. Part of their welcome e-mail are some interesting information about that one thing this group is about: the Love for Lomography. I thought of sharing these things to you guys. Malay mo, maging Lomo converts din kayo :)

What is LOMO? LOMO is a manufacturer of optical equipment in Russia. It stands for Leningradskoye Optiko Mechanichesckoye Obyedinenie (Leningrad Optical Mechanical Union).

What is the LOMO LCA? The Lomo LCA (Lomo Compact Automat) is a camera manufactured by Lomo.

What is LOMOGRAPHY? LOMOGRAPHY is a movement marketed by the Lomographic Society, Inc. The movement was inspired by the LOMO LCA. Two Austrian students "discovered" and were enamored by the qualities in photos taken by the LCA and proceeded to establish this movement by means of viral marketing. They coined the term "Lomography" and drafted the 10 Rules of Lomography. Read more about Lomography at www.lomography.com

Is LOMOGRAPHY officially part of the LOMO company? No. Lomography is an independent movement involving the Lomo LCA. The Lomographic Society, Inc. deals with Lomo in a supplier-client relationship. THe LSI merely markets the Lomo LCA as part of their movement.

Can you use other cameras in Lomography? While the LCA was the camera that started the whole Lomography movement by the Lomographic Society, there are other cameras now included in the LSI's catalog of "lomographic" cameras. This means, the LSI considers these cameras as tools that are suited to the 10 rules of lomography. Some of these cameras are: Holga, Supersampler (designed and manufactured by LSI), and Actionsampler.

Some of these cameras have been existing way before the LSI was established (i.e. Holga) and were in no way "made" by the LSI. They were simply adopted by lomography enthusiasts because of their nature. Many of these cameras are toy cameras.

Where can I get cameras?

1) www.lomography.com
2) www.ebay.com
3) Montage in Greenbelt 4
4) Some Lomomanila members sell cameras, just post a note in the egroup.

FYI: Not all cameras should be called 'LOMO CAMERAS' because Lomo, being a brand, is only applied to cameras that do use LOMO optics such as the Lomo LCA and Lubitel.

The more accurate term for plastic cameras like the Supersampler, ActionSampler, HOlga, and other similar cameras is TOY CAMERA. (Or Lomographic camera)

Christmas Splurge

2 comments:
Morning radio playlist have Pasko Na Sinta Ko and Jingle Bells on their playlist. Poinsettias and conventional pine trees are all around. Shining, shimering and colorful lights are twinkling on the sidewalks; hand in hand with Parols and Snow Man. Huge Belen can also be found on one or two of the buildings nearby. Gift wrappers are also shifting designs from plain Happy Birthdays to Happy Holidays. When you look around, you can feel Christmas! Inches from Christmas means inches from splurging. Maybe you are now checking and rechecking your christmas list, and also taking-down notes on where to go to purchase these gifts for your friends and family. Need more resources? Excited

No comments:
I've been hearing about our team being assigned to go to the US come next year. There were no details yet but I think if ever it will push through, we have to stay there for 6 months to undergo training and observe. I was telling my parents about it this morning and they are as excited as I was. It would be a huge deal for me if i'll be a part of that trip because it has been my dream to travel and explore other places, and I'm thankful that our company has that opportunity.

Some of the places I really want to visit, if given the chance, will be New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Orlando. Some of my mom's old friends and some of my former elementary classmates are in these locations. Good thing there are good accomodation offers, like what they have in a orlando hotel that suits my budget. I heard they also got nice offers for other services such as car rentals and flight arrangements which applies to a huge area in Orlando. I also visited Orlando.com for travel guides and tips on how to survive the most popular place in Florida. See? I told you I was excited :)

Heroes Pulled By NBC Due To Strike

No comments:
Due to the massive writers' strike, NBC decided to "indefinitely postpone" the production of Heroes. One article stated that NBC Universal heads pushed for a postponement on the beginning of production because they as yet had no scripts in hand, and the WGA contract expiration on Wednesday (31 Oct) made a delivery date very vague.

This is a sad news especially to the faithful followers of the show. The article further stated that another factor for this sudden decision was the low viewer ratings because, apparently, fans are starting to tune out. Reports said that last week's 10.7 million viewers was 6 percent less than the viewership from the previous week.

I perfectly understand the sentiments of the writers on strike. Production people, in my opinion, haven't been given enough credit that they deserve in the entertainment business.

But I hope this is not goodbye for Heroes, and to the other shows that these writers are part of because that would be a big fall for the industry and a loss for the fans as well.

Urbandub For MTV Live Sessions

No comments:
Waaaahhhhhh! This is soooo cool. It has been a while since I went to a gig or watch a live show. The cool thing about this show (did I say COOL) aside from one of the primo bands around, Urbandub, will be performing is that one; it's produced by MTV and two; it's for FREE. I hope Peng's on a day-off because this is definitely a to-go-to gig!

I created a new website just now. I haven't linked it yet because it's not yet finish, but I am excited about it. I'm still thinking if I'll invite other writers to contribute for the content, plus I still have to learn how to customize its lay-out and all other stuff. It will be a while, maybe the site will be officially up come next year.

Glam It Up With Crystals!

No comments:
A lot of my former classmates back in high school are getting married this coming year. I have been asked once, or twice about the perfect place to have their important wedding essentials custom made. I'm not really an expert when it comes to these things, but I would definitely recommend visiting http://www.advantagebridal.com for a one-stop online shopping venue. Everything from bridal shower (pajamas to lingerie), to pre-wedding things like invitations, to the main event including the bridal gowns, shoes, gloves to tote bags for give-aways; advantagebridal offers it.

Custom Crystal Attire at AdvantageBridal.com is the store's latest campaign. The online store now expands its horizons by not only showcasing custom-made bridal gowns, cakes, bouquets and other wedding items, but also creating a new twist for everyday garments and must-haves by studding it with rhinestones! The customers can chose from dozens of rhinestone colors and they can match them with other offered items like tote bags, jackets, tank tops and flip-flops. I personally love the studded hooded jackets and tank-tops that can be custom-made. All you have to do is to place your order with your custom design and let the designers glam up these simple, everyday pieces. There's also a link on all the available items on discount for shoppers on a budget :)

Okay, so...

Thing is, there are certain things that people have to know in life. Very important things, like, let's say cerebral palsy and other illnesses connected to the brain. These words are given to me for a reason; not really to write about them but to LEARN more about them. Wikipedia defined cerebral palsy as a non-progressive brain disorder which is characterized by abnormal muscle tone, posture (i.e. slouching over while sitting), reflexes, or motor development and coordination.

Laundry Room

No comments:
Today's the 8th non-working day for me. Good thing my mom's on sembreak so we had her at home for a whole week. Papa, Zaide, Zyrene and I pigged-out in champorado and pancakes during breakfast and meryenda especially made by Mama. One family agenda for the long weekend was to clean the whole house and do some major re-arranging with the furnitures.

We now have a laundry room. I was actually surprised when Mama told me about the idea while we were on the bus going to Ortigas last Tuesday. The first thing I asked was how much will it cost to build it since I had this idea of constructing the room from scratch. Then she explained that, with Papa's help, the shower room will just be transformed into a sort of "walk-in-closet". I benefited from that because my room now have a bigger space since one of the cabinets (which was not actually mine) was pulled out :)
