Waiting For Sweeney

It will be a computer rental-free weekend for me since there are no other assignments for me to accomplish. That means I'll have A LOT of spare time to read and finish other pending materials (magazines and more magazines) that's been piling up on my rack.

A lot of good movies are premiering next week, but I am looking forward to watch Tim Burton and Johnny Depp's latest, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. It's the film adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim's hit musical. I've seen a couple of clips of the movie. It's not the typical type of movie that I watch since it has gory details like neck-ripping and blood squirting, but Depp's charm and Burton's extravagant production and focus on details are just irresistible. Plus the movie also features Helena Bonham Carter, who played Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

I just found out this morning that Carter is Tim Burton's long-time partner.

Excellent movie. Very bloody, but excellent. If you haven't seen it yet do so with all haste!

Hi Michael,

Thanks for dropping by. *squirms* Gah! Bloody! As I have said, this is not the genre I am used to watching. Oh well. I'll just ignore the bloodiness and focus on Depp and Burton's magic. Hehe.
