- Sydney Pollack, one of the most celebrated directors and actors in Hollywood, died last Monday. Reports said that he was diagnosed with cancer nine months ago. He was 73.
- Organizing a big event is no joke. I have been attending project planning sessions with my high school batch mates since April. We've decided to host a benefit concert to raise funds for the John Lyall Foundation, an organization that aims to promote literacy and provide educational assistance to the members of an underprivileged community. The benefit concert will feature some of the country's popular bands. Sponsorships and plans on how to promote the event are the major things that we need to concentrate on in the next two weeks.
- Our project manager might request that we create a Functional Design Specification (FDS) document for the project that we are working on. She said that the client is now requiring that we submit an FDS document because all of the pages and functions of the application and have their corresponding FDS document.

Notes For The Week
Rural
Gary saved a good amount for his term life insurance. He plans to have a family and have his own house. He's attracted with the conveniences the rural life brings. The fresh air, the meager lifestyle and the uncomplicated cycle that comes with it. He had been hoping to settle down and have these plans in place for years. All he needs is a wife.

Ismile
I’ve had my braces for over a year now. My dentist said that aside from fixing the alignment of my teeth, it will also do well for my jaw. I have this condition where my jaw suddenly locks whenever I take huge bites whenever I eat. Plus it also makes a clicking sound whenever I chew the food too much. She suggested putting a couple more braces aside from the brackets on my teeth, but up to now, it’s still under observation.
Blessed are those people who have great pearly whites. Those who doesn’t need to go through treatments and therapy just to achieve that big smile with ease. I noticed some innovations when it comes to improving one’s smile like cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Shapiro, a New York Cosmetic Dentist of Ismile Cosmetic Dentist NYC is one of the names I have come across while searching for specialist in cosmetic dentistry. He received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He continued his education with graduate work in industrial engineering and operations research at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry in 1982. Years of experience in the business can guarantee potential patients that they will achieve Cosmetic Dentist New York service at its finest.

Still Testing The Connection
Day number three for me. I've decided to finish all my blog task today since I'll be having a series of meetings for the benefit concert project in the coming days. I only have Chicago travel on my Inbox. I'll be expecting more assignments in the coming days.
I am still testing the Internet connection using my Moto phone as a modem. I gave my two brothers their internet time this afternoon. They are pretty happy with the improvement on both the PC and the connection. It's not as fast as the usual internet speed that the three of us were used to, but it's tolerable. They were able to download some goodies for their phones. We tried connecting with YM, but it's no good. I am guessing the cloudy weather has some effect on the GPRS signal.
I just hope I'll have a more sensible post and more sensible things to write about rather than this. Gahhh.

"Are you having second thoughts?"
No I'm not. I checked out some stuff from Outer Banks rentals a while ago. Why would you ask me that?!
"You're taking too much time, and I am losing my patience. I have a lot on my plate and there are other things left that needs a lot of details...what now?"
(10 seconds later)
Can I get back to you this afternoon?

Hoping It's Just A Phase
gJohn breezily walked inside a bar without even knowing that a piece of paper is stuck at the back of his shirt. The hotel's patio furniture would have been the culprit, but earlier this morning the paparazzi is just unstoppable; snapping away to get that million-dollar-worth shot that would make the man die of shame. Who would have thought that this phase would come? John being among the CENTER of attention these days? *sighs.

Tick-tock.
The connection is faster now, and the clock is ticking! I only have 15 minutes left to wrap up everything. Good thing, I only have designer jewelry left to write about. My mother is the expert when it comes to jewelries. Not designer ones, though. But she has good taste because she always see to it that her blings matches her clothes all the time :)
Test. One. Two.
Testing the internet connection here at home using my phone as a modem is exciting and at the same time frustrating. I am only giving myself an hour to finish all my blog tasks since I need to give my eyes a full rest. I have been sleeping the whole day today, and writing something sort of breaks the eat-and-sleep cycle since yesterday. Setting up the internet connection here did not require any Callaway irons and other cables of any sorts; just your average USB cable and a fully-charged phone.

He Calls Me Luli

The picture above is my most favorite among the photos I've taken since I've devoured myself in photography.
I remember that night at El Pueblo five years ago. He said I look like President Arroyo's daughter that's why he gave me that nickname. He was suplado, so the moment he spoke to me was kind of a surprise. We've been good friends since then.
I have always been a fan of the songs you wrote. I think it's among of the best from your band's album and more people deserve to hear and appreciate it.
Happy Birthday, Sheldon! :)

At The Moment
- Super sleepy.
- Said the word "Coffee" ten times in 2 seconds.
- Is Leptovox a catchy name?
- To go or not to go in Ortigas?
- Have 15 times created and cancelled a Friendster account within 30 minutes.
- Just ordered Mocha Latte.
- Unconsciously scratching my nose.
- Hungry.

Coward
"Take this road and you will reach a tunnel!" the quirky General instructed the pack. Within seconds, a thunder-like sound echoed the barren field. Each member of the squad breathe deeply as they clasp their hands, grit their teeth and put their best foot forward.

Twanskwypts
The title must be pronounced the way Tweety bird would pronounce it. LOL.
I've been up exactly 19 hours and 53 minutes because I have been transcribing the whole day yesterday and then had to continue transcribing at home since
the Monday deadline was moved this morning. I was really nervous that I wouldn't make it on time. The audio file was two-hours long, and my average transcription speed was 30-40min of the total run-time a day. But with the help of ExtraJoss and 5 cups of coffee, I survived! Plus, I do not have to use acne treatments since my hormones and the oil glands on my face have been in their friendliest state last night, hehe.
I'm super excited about my Iron Man movie night out with my best buddies Peng, Yoma and Macky later. Actually, I have been sending group messages to all of my friends for the past days since I want to watch the movie so badly! I have been hearing a lot of good reviews about the movie from my colleagues and one good friend of mine who's a really huge fan of the comic book. He said that it would be good, on my part, to watch the movie since I've never read the comic book and have no expectations.
I am most excited about the kwentuhan sessions later.

Golfing, anyone?
The beach is on everyone's list of the perfect summer getaway. The amenities given by the tried and tested resorts around are the main attraction of these destinations. My recent trip to Bataan where a couple hundred people walking the shores and splashing on the pool is one big proof that nothing beats the laid-back atmosphere of beach resorts. I found out recently that some resorts even offer other services aside from the beach itself like acoustic or reggae bars, amusement parks and even museums. I was surfing a while ago and even find one that combined the luxury of golfing and the comforts of a beach resort: Myrtle Beach Golf.
Myrtle Beach resort offers Ttimes Only, your one stop shop for Myrtle Beach golf tee times! The perfectly-shaped golf courses and the relaxing ambiance of the resort is one of the main attraction of the place. May it be golfing or swimming, Myrtle Beach is a great place to enjoy and relax. Their trained golf professionals have been in the business for over 14 years. Check out the resort's Myrtle Beach Golf packages where they guarantee that tee time reservations can be made without the fuzz.
Check out their website for more information.

Right Here Waiting
I believe the whole of Teloworks, or those who joined the summer outing, don't even want to hear this song for the next couple of centuries. You might find me exagerating, but hearing the song more than ten times while inside the bus was no fun.
Last Friday, we were scheduled to leave for Bataan at around 7:30am where everyone was expected to have eaten breakfast that the committee prepared. At exactly 7:20, I was tapped by my boss to go inside the bus and save four seats for the Documentation Team. So the whole team, together with the rest of the office including the managers, were already inside the bus at the scheduled time, except for one whom I will not mention the name here who was 30 minutes late. The bus driver played a videoke DVD while we were waiting for that one (fill in the appropriate adjective here) person who made everyone a bit annoyed. But the bus' DVD player sucks because even though the DVD had a lot of tracks, it kept on playing the first track, which was, you've guessed it: Right Here Waiting. We were all fine during the second and the third encore of the song. But hearing it straight, on-loop, for a half an hour was torture! I, my boss and one manager were the only ones complaining about the song at first, but during the fourth round, everyone was all jokingly compalining that they will never attempt to hear another note of that famous Richard Marx hit.
We left Makati around 8:30, which was an hour late from the schedule.

Legalities
A lawsuit, and being involved in one, is a big matter. Not only it would jeopardize your life emotionally, it will also be a big challenge on ones' pocket. Getting legal help nowadays really costs a fortune. If you need assistance with legal funding, LawMax and their different offers would be a choice. The company offers a great deal of no paymets until your case is settled. Check out their website for more information.
Amber Mode
My skin, specially on my shoulders and on my neck, feels like it's on fire because of sunburn. but all is good -- the sun, the sand, the people, the barbecue and kwentuhan session, the island-hoping, taking pictures with my Holga, witnessing the waves crash on the rocks, the sand on my hands and knees, the almost-dry hair bacause of the scorching heat...EVERYTHING was fun!
I will detail the post about the Bataan trip in chunks either later or in the coming days. The last time I've been on the beach was way back in high school, and I consider this trip as one of the highlights of my ever-boring life that's why I've got to document and rave about it. LOL.

Fast?
A big telecommunications company recently launched a pre-paid broadband service. The broadband device costs a whooping Php 4500! I am not expecting that it would connect as fast as a gps fleet tracking system or something similar, but in my case who have been dying to have an Internet connection at home can take on this chance and try it. I haven't heard any feedbacks about it, so I might research about it first to make sure that it connects well.

This Made Me Smile...
Saw this poster at Just Jared. The gang is back!!I'm off to Bataan in a while for our company outing. I hope the sand and the sunset would change my mood and forget things for a while. I brought my Holga and three rolls of 120s, and my digicam too. I'll wait for the sun to set later...
