Sinks

1 comment:
Have you ever wondered how those farmhouse sinks works? My grandfather was a farmer when he was younger. He shared sinks then were made of bamboo stalks and piles of clay, and not those swanky ones we see on hardware stores. His father built it with his own bear hands. Cool, 'eh? If only I have a picture of that vintage sink...

Dive

No comments:

…in a pool or the beach is probably in most people’s mind these days. Most schools have been celebrating their commencement exercises and vacation leave forms are flying here and there. Holy Week will start in a matter of days. April 6 to be exact. The last time I checked, that day is an official non-working holiday. My father shared over dinner that our neighbors have been busy setting up their portable pool. He added that our neighbors were thinking of upgrading their pool. I said there are great pool supplies online that they might be interested in. That would be nice to have, specially if one is too lazy to go on a trip. Like me. Hehe.

Warm Up

Been trying to blog all day, but there are some important updates I needed to do for both desktop and laptop. It’s depressing that I never wrote a thing within the past 7 hours while downloading add-ons and important system updates. As I have blogged earlier, I downloaded Windows Live Writer. I've known about this tool for months, but was only able to tweak my PC today. There were some needed upgrades with my desktop's system to be able set up the .Net Framework that comes with it. Sinking my toes into the wonders the Windows Live Writer can do for the past two hours made me realize I saved an ample amount of my time skipping a single step with my usual blogging routine. Not bad.

I checked my blogging tasks Inbox this morning and found PLENTY of new keywords. Yey! The client I have been writing for have had a series of system upgrades for the past three weeks and was only able to send new assignments this week. The number of keywords are enough to buy me one of those home theater chairs perfect for my weekend movie marathons. Speaking of, I’ve had a lot of these marathons and had noted the movies that were blog-worthy.

Calling word fairy.

Live Writer

Windows Live Writer is love. :) I’ll be using this tool when creating blog posts for all my blogs. I have a lot of things to write about like Candy’s despedida-slash-videoke party and my 5-minute time at 6UG last night. Finishing the desktop updates in a bit…

Dreamhouse [draft]

No comments:
A friend of mine had been faithfully looking for a place for his dream house. Someone like a Wilmington NC real estate agent would be one good option to find the perfect place, as it was suggested by one of our colleagues. Availing a loan was also part of his plans. I've heard three prospected areas are already on his list.

Wah

Her mind went extremely in the Outer Banks of bliss when he broke the news today. It was the chances that she missed that makes her sad, next to the idea that he'll be gone in a long while. She recounted the times when she dreamed about him whisphering unthinkable reasons on why they are still this way. Reasons that makes chances unreal. Chances that makes reality exist. Reality that shouts her heart will be missing his.

Walang Galang

No comments:
Ang mga Pinoy talaga basta magka-pera wala nang pakialam kung nakaka bastos na. Tsk.

This note is circulating in Facebook. This was reposted by Facebook user GR Rodis (whom I think is Maxene's friend). Let's help the Magalona family to track down the organizers of the event for them to be properly reprimanded.
Do repost on your blogs and on your profiles.
______________

Let us shame these scammers into giving Francis M's family the respect they deserve as his heirs. They should not be allowed to use his image in any event without permission from the family. This is what Maxene said in her Note. Please spread this around so that it may get to the people in that area so that they do not support this fraud.

"Although we understand that papa influenced millions of people with his work, we don't approve of these gimmicks that pretend to pay tribute to his legacy when it is OBVIOUS that they are merely using him to make money. FRANCIS M.'S FOUNDATION? There's no such thing! Mama never approved of anything like that! If they were honest and true about paying tribute to papa and wanting to earn money for some foundation, they would have done the appropriate thing and respectfully asked my mom for permission. This is like using my dad as a performer in a concert except they don't pay him for it.

Plus, they're selling shirts just like those from my dad's clothing line.. GAYA GAYA! How do these people sleep at night?! PLEASE RESPECT MY DAD AND LET HIM REST IN PEACE. Nakakabastos kayo!

P.S. If any of you discover more events or merchandise similar to this, please bring it to our attention immediately. THANK YOU."

It's Not Easy Being Green

No comments:
I never thought being comfortable with your own skin is somewhat a crime these days. But what the heck, I'll just be like Kermit -- be in my own little pond, sing and just be me.

It's not that easy being green
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold
Or something much more colorful like that

It's not easy being green
It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things
And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're
Not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water
Or stars in the sky

But green's the color of Spring
And green can be cool and friendly-like
And green can be big like an ocean, or important
Like a mountain, or tall like a tree

When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why
Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful
And I think it's what I want to be

Vote For Up Dharma Down

No comments:
My room seems smaller these days. Maybe I should get out more and make it miss me for it to look bigger again. Summer kisses my skin these past few days, so this means I'll be planning road trips soon. I was chatting with a friend earlier over at Yahoo voice chat and he's inviting me to visit him in his studio in Laguna. I said I think it's worth a day trip. We're suppose to still be talking right now, but the poor connection cannot put the call through. Anyways, I've decided to watch The Reader since I still am not sleepy. Had to write this quick post though before I make myself comfortable and figure out why Kate Winslet's role in the film earned her an Oscar.

Up Dharma Down is nominated in not one but three categories at the up coming Asia Voice Independent Music Awards. Click on the following links to vote:

*After clicking the links, don't forget to scroll down to see the voting poll

-- The band's latest video, Taya is nominated for the Most mind blowing video category.

-- The song Taya is nominated for the Best Moody-Melancholic Masterpiece category.

-- Armi Millare is nomited for the Best Overall Female Vocalist category.

A chance to play at the winners night in Malaysia, and of course for Asia to know the we Pinoys rock are what's at stake. You do not need to sign up for anything to be able to vote. I just casted my voted and it only took me, what? 30 seconds...that easy. Kaya boto na!

I haven't seen Armi and the rest of the band in weeks now. Might check out their March schedule to see if I can squeeze in some Dharma time. :)

Pop-corn mode na muna ako. :P

Group hug!

No comments:

Una at huling beses.

Maraming salamat Ely, Marcus, Buddy at Raims. Rakenroll, Eraserheads!

The Final Set

Off to MOA in a bit. Sad air will definitely be a part of tonight's show. I just hope Ely and the rest of the band will finish the show this time despite the circumstances...

Song Of The Week

No comments:
Jolly suggested that I check out his new site. I remember him sharing that he has this habit of sending his recommended song or songs for the week to his friends here and in Singapore through e-mail. I was one of those people who receives these e-mails. He's not simply attaching the songs, but he would also write some tidbits about the artists and the a little history about the songs as well. I admire him for his passion to share the music that he loves to his friends. And now he's brought this habit to a whole new level because he's now sharing his songs of the week with everyone! Well, being a regular RX 93.1 DJ grants him some authority to recommend songs, me thinks.

The drill of the site will be one recommended music and an extra one from the visitors' requests. Up Dharma Down's Taya and Lady GaGa's Poker Face are the featured tunes this week. I asked what are the requested songs for the coming weeks, and Jolly shared that most of them were old (it's one to two months of the song being aired on the radio on his dictionary ;P) or too mainstream. I gave it a shot and suggested a track. He said he would consider it since the song is something a lot of people haven't heard of. Yey!

Anyways, I can't feel my eyes right now but I still have to stay up 'til 12am and be my brother's alarm clock.

hmmff.
