That he cannot grasp that things are beyond credits and acknowledgements. Those one-word replies, or lack thereof. He's on top of the world, all he sees is himself and the misery that he is in. He always does. He always will. Twisting everything as if he's the victim of all this is ridiculous. As if people cannot feel anything, or the only thing acceptable to him is how he wants people to feel.
